GERMAN WWII ORGANISATION TODT OFFICERS M.43 CAP

A scarce piece of headdress from the Third Reich period, the M.43 cap in Organisation Todt olive brown,  silver piping to the crown denoting an officer rank, complete with its one-piece national eagle over national cockade, Bevo woven Organisation Todt insignia. Twin button front. A small repair to the material on the peak, and two other areas have snags. Nicely marked to the inside ‘ORGANISATION TODT’ within a block. Stamped size ‘56’ with a large maker's stamp of ‘Carl Halfar Berlin’. The leather sweatband is all complete, with olive drab brushed cotton lining.
