A very fine condition police shako, large size 58. Excellent condition green cloth covered sides, which have some light moth tracking to the nap only of the material, no piercing of the green cloth has taken place. Good bright black patent finish to the crown, front and back peaks. Matching strap with aluminium buckles. Fitted with the large white stamped aluminium police eagle and its correct cockade, the cockade itself is ‘Assmann’ stamped. The 9-tongued liner in good light tan colour with evidence of very minor wear and use, with its original leather drawstring; the leather liner is stamped size ‘58’.
