German WWII Officer M43 Cap

A very good example of a German M43 field cap, likely size 55, originally issued to an enlisted man or NCO and later field-upgraded to officer rank by the addition of silver waffenfarbe piping around the crown. The cap retains excellent nap to the wool cloth with no moth damage or staining.

It features the correct double-button front and retains its original Bevo-woven Luftwaffe eagle and separate national cockade. The interior is lined in cotton satin, showing clear signs of genuine field wear, particularly to the forehead area. A fine, authentic example of a field-modified officer’s cap.
