This is a well-service-used but very nice condition NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps) crash helmet, a distinctive piece of headwear worn by members of the motorised paramilitary organisation.

The helmet is of an unmarked size but is estimated to be approximately a size 56. The exterior skull features a good shape with a smooth finish, showing only slight crazing to the leather, consistent with age and service use. It is complete with its correct leather ear flaps, which feature their securing buckles, and the protective rear neck flap. The helmet is fitted with the first pattern NSKK eagle insignia, a desirable feature for collectors.

The interior liner is fully intact and retains a good colour, complete with its original drawstring. The interior is remarkable for featuring a profuse amount of markings, including various ink stamps and written names. One marking appears to be an NSDAP acceptance stamp, while other ink markings seem to denote a motorsturm number, providing significant provenance and detailing its specific unit history within the NSKK.
