This is a highly unusual and rare visor cap for an official within the NSKK Marine. While it is not size stamped, it measures approximately a size 56 or 57. This specific model is documented and illustrated on page 415 of Headgear of Hitler’s Germany Volume 4 by Wilhelm P.B.R. Saris.

The cap is constructed with a fixed, non-removable white top made from standard ribbed material. The top remains in good condition, showing only slight discolouration around the forward upper edges. It features a mohair centre band and is fitted with a metal NSKK eagle. A standout feature of this piece is the rare and finely constructed NSKK Marine central cockade, which incorporates a central symbol within a wreath and crossed anchors. The cap is finished with a standard front strap secured by two gilded anchor side buttons.

The interior consists of a white satin lining and a brown leather sweatband that shows clear evidence of service wear, including one small tear. The centre celluloid lozenge is complete and undamaged. There is some staining to the interior lining, likely from period exposure to moisture, but the cap remains free of moth damage and retains a desirable saddle shape. Crucially, the original political RZM issue label remains attached to the inner band.
