GERMAN WWII NSKK CHAINED OFFICERS DISPLAY PIECE

An exceptionally nice blade marked ‘RZM M7/42’, the only markings to the blade are from the scabbard internal brass blade retaining bands. The wood grip is completely undamaged, with a matt finish to the national eagle, and undamaged enamel to the SA inset. One slight crack to the centre of the upper cross guard with plating slightly thin, the lower cross guard is also has the plating slightly thin. The plating on the three scabbard mounts is good and bright. Approximately 50% of the original paint finish remains on the scabbard, with a complete set of NSKK hanging chains. One feature we have noted over many years is the NSKK marking on the last link next to the attachment clip; the letter ‘K’ in the word Korpsfuhrung has always been half-stamped. On this set of chains, also, the ‘Assmann’ marking is on the opposite chain, closest to the attachment link.
