German WWII NSKK Chained Officer’s Display Piece – RZM Marked

A striking and well-preserved example of a German WWII NSKK officer’s presentation piece; the blade is clearly marked ‘RZM M7/42’ with no additional markings aside from those made by the internal brass retention bands of the scabbard. The wooden grip remains undamaged, featuring a matte finish to the national eagle and intact enamel on the SA inset. A small crack is present at the center of the upper cross guard, where the plating is slightly thin—this also applies to the lower cross guard.

The three scabbard mounts retain bright plating, and approximately 50% of the original paint finish remains on the scabbard body. The piece is fitted with a full set of NSKK chains. A long-observed detail is present on the final link near the attachment clip, where the ‘K’ in Korpsführung appears only partially stamped—a consistent feature over many known examples. This particular set also interestingly bears the ‘Assmann’ maker marking on the opposite chain link, closest to the attachment point.
