A highly unusual and striking example of a German WWII NPEA (Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten) overseas cap. Constructed entirely in black with a crisp white corded edge, it is fitted with the small-size M.29 style eagle and a white-on-black political cockade below—matching the example illustrated on page 90 of Hitler Youth Volume 2 by J.R. Angolia.
The interior lining is in political brown, with a clear medium-size stamp reading “N.P.E.A. Dessau” alongside the date “1935.” This cap is exceptionally rare, as very little documentation exists regarding NPEA uniforms, making it a highly desirable piece for collectors of Third Reich political headgear.
