GERMAN WWII NAVY M.40 SINGLE DECAL CAMOUFLAGE HELMET

Q66 marked shell, the gold Navy eagle good and clear with minor chips. At one stage this was a full camouflage helmet, the rear of the helmet has remains of its tropical paint, the crown and front has patches of green. The interior skirt also has the remains of its tropical paint. Match number ‘873’ with what appears to be a prefix of a letter ‘R’. The M.40 liner is very frail, only 6 of its original tongues remain. The drawstring is in situ. A nice example of the scarce Kriegsmarine helmet with remains of tropical camouflage paint.
