German WWII Naval Officer’s Display Piece with Straps

A very nice and clean example by WKC, featuring the classic double-sided standard etching pattern, which remains sharp and bright. The very tip is intact but shows a slight bend. The red felt washer between the blade shoulder and cross guard is present.

The white celluloid grip is flawless, retaining all its original grip wire. A good amount of original gilding remains on the three main components—the upper pommel, central cross guard, and scabbard—with the edges of the cross guard particularly well highlighted.

The scabbard is free from dents, a rare and desirable condition for a naval officer’s piece. This example comes complete with its full set of hanging straps, made from aluminium, each buckle marked with an ‘M’ inside a lozenge. The small securing chain is intact, and all attachment springs function perfectly.
