GERMAN WWII MINERS ASSOCIATION TUNIC

A rare tunic for the Miners Association. All black material, very dark material velvet collar adorned with two highly unusual collar badges for the Mining Service in enamels. To both sleeves a heart-shaped insignia with crossed hammers in brass. The tunic has its full complement of crossed hammer buttons and also again its full complement of buttons on both lower sleeves; some of the buttons are dented. One moth hole to the upper left breast. To the interior a ‘Carl Henkel of Bielefeld’ uniform fabric label attached in silk to the interior pocket, no other visible markings. An unusual tunic for a rare organisation.
