GERMAN WWII MG34 IN TRANSIT BOX WITH GUNNERS KIT AND ALL ACCESSORIES

Back in the 1980s, a good quantity of MG34’s, other guns and other equipment were released by the Portuguese Government. We clearly remember visiting the Company of Ryton Arms in Nottingham, where these boxes of machine guns were piled high, we bought a quantity ourselves, and subsequently these were all sold. Now and again one reappears on the market. This superb gun MG34 number 4385 with all its original finish, all of the graduating numbers in the flip up sight picked out in white, complete with its bipod, which is waffen amt marked, its leather carrying strap, its Bakelite butt, its absolutely complete gunners kit which  is matched numbered to the gun, Portuguese log book which is completely filled out from 1951 to 1966. The Portuguese contents list for the box is pasted to the upper inner lid. There are three spare barrel cases. German manufacturers' ‘DOT 1944’ dated. Marked to the outside of the box in two places, one in stencil and one by hand: ‘4385’. For excellent in-depth reading on the Portuguese contract guns, read pages 78 through to 80 of possibly the best work ever produced on the MG34 and 42 machine guns, German Universal Machine Guns by Folke Myrvang, published by Collector Grade Publications. We have known Folke Myrvang for over 45 years, and there is no more knowledgeable person in the world on the MG34 than Folke Myrvang. A fantastic piece of WWII kit. The weapon is with its original UK old specification deactivation certificate, dated 2001. We are not able to offer this gun in either the UK or the EU due to new deactivation specifications.
