GERMAN WWII MG34/42 WEB CARRYING BAG

The rare one-half of the twin carrying bags for the ammunition cans for the MG34/42. Both bottom ends are designed to be open; one, however, is torn as well. Complete with its herringbone twill canvas closing strap and its long, thick shoulder strap with a clip end. Shown in Ausrustung volume 2, pages 166 to 176. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom, comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15-year-old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years, culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
