German WWII MG34/42 Machine Gun Sight Carrying Box

A scarce ordnance-tan painted carrying box designed for the MG34/42 ZF sight. Although the internal divider panels are no longer present, it retains its sprung-loaded web closure tab, which is maker-coded and dated ‘42’. The original webbing tab remains intact. Fitted with a web shoulder strap, with one of the cast attachment clips broken and currently secured with twisted wire. This very example is featured in the Military Mode Publishing reference work by Roly Pickering, Ausrüstung Volume 2 — adding excellent provenance to a difficult piece to find.
