German WWII Machine Gunner’s Utility Tool

A very good example of the rare multi-tooled Bowie-style utility piece, often illustrated in reference works such as Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army as a machine gunner’s knife — though this attribution is likely incorrect. Regardless, these versatile tools are highly sought after by collectors.
The Bowie-style section retains much of its original cross-grain finish, with all steel fittings clean and bright. One Bakelite grip shows a small crack near the ruptured cartridge aperture — a common issue with these examples — while the opposite grip remains perfect. All integrated tools are complete and retain their blued finish.
It is housed in its original black-painted scabbard, showing minor paint loss consistent with service use, and retains its functional sprung belt clip.
