GERMAN WWII MACHINE GUNNERS UTILITY DISPLAY PIECE

A very good example of the multi-tooled Bowie-bladed utility knife. Shown in one of the Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army series books as a machine gunner's knife, we seriously believe this is not correct; these knives are highly desired. The Bowie style blade is still with a lot of its original cross-grain finish, its steel oval cross guard and all other metal parts are good and clean. One of the Bakelite grips has a crack, which is common to a lot of these knives, very close to the axle of the ruptured cartridge aperture within the Bakelite grips; the grip to the opposite side is perfect. All the tools are complete with their original blued finish. Fitted into its black painted scabbard, which has some losses which can be seen in our website images. Complete with its spring-loaded belt clip.
