German WWII M35 Double, Now Single Decal Combat Helmet

A very good untouched example of a size Q62 Model 1935 combat helmet, originally a double decal example and later overpainted in accordance with 1940 regulations to remove the national tricolour. The army decal remains clear and well-preserved, with only minor paint loss just above the right-hand side of the eagle. The interior retains a dry storage feel, with a complete mid-tan leather liner, original drawstring, and soft, supple leather. The chinstrap is fitted to the square-edged M35 aluminium strap posts and is nicely marked ‘E.A.S.40’. Faint traces of the original wearer’s name are still visible to the rear skirt.
