An excellent example of a Model 35 double decal Army combat helmet, shell marked ET64, batch number 4481. The exterior retains around 90% of its original smooth apple green paint finish. The Wehrmacht eagle decal remains virtually intact, showing only light rust bleed to the breast and lower wing tip. The national tricolour decal is also present, with just minor edge wear.
The liner is the early aluminium-banded M35 type, complete and in very good condition, with supple leather and a clear ink dome stamp to the interior. The chinstrap is fully present and remains strong, while only one of the liner rivet heads shows a small area of paint loss.
A very fine and well-preserved early war M35 double decal helmet.
