A very interesting example of a named M35 Army combat helmet. The Q62 size shell was originally issued as an apple green double decal and later ordnance refurbished with a matt green finish, the majority of which is still present. The Army single decal remains clear with only light abrasions. When refurbished, an M40 zinc-banded liner was installed, though the original M35 apple green rivets were reused and still retain much of their paint. The liner is size stamped 55, complete with good-coloured leather and its original drawstring. Fitted with a 1941-dated, maker-marked chinstrap. To the inner rear skirt the name G. Keromen is painted in white along with the sequence 5442FN40. A fine, characterful, and unusual named helmet.
