German WWII M.38 Army Signals Overseas Cap

A well-worn enlisted man’s M.38 overseas cap showing extensive use. The cloth nap is largely worn away, except in areas protected by the side curtains and upper envelope, with some stitching degraded to a light grey. Fitted with a grey-on-green Bevo woven eagle, showing some wear and degradation as visible in our web images. Cockade remains intact, with the inverted V section of lemon yellow signals piping clearly present. Stamped size ‘57’, maker marked and dated ‘1942’ on the interior brushed cotton lining.
