GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE VERY EARLY M.35 DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

Shell size SE60, batch number 4516. The helmet retains the majority of its early Luftwaffe blue finish with some rust bleed, as can be seen in our web images.  The Luftwaffe eagle is the rare short-tailed version. Above the Luftwaffe eagle, the round cap for the M.35 type rivet has detached itself from the helmet; the opposite side is complete. The national tricolour is again complete with minor abrasions. The paint was still retained on all three of the liner retaining rivet heads. To the interior, the liner retains virtually all its original light tan colour with its correct aluminium M.35 liner band and the square-edged strap attachments. The strap is original to the helmet with its aluminium buckle.
