German WWII Luftwaffe Tropical M43 Field Cap

A very good, untouched example of a Luftwaffe tropical M43 field cap, showing classic service use. Constructed from light tan cotton, this fair-sized cap (approximately size 57) has the unmistakable look of a genuine, field-worn piece—what collectors often call a "one looker."

The cloth remains supple and well used, with no air vents present, as is typical for Luftwaffe tropical variants. The interior of the peak shows expected age-related degradation, with the internal paper-based stiffening now softened, though the peak still holds its shape well and presents handsomely.

The tropical trapezoid insignia is regulation type, hand-stitched and unquestionably period applied. No interior markings are visible, which is entirely consistent with privately made examples of this type.
