An exceptional and highly sought-after example of a WWII German Luftwaffe-issue winter anorak, finished in the distinctive tan and water camouflage pattern. Originally part of a five-piece cold weather suit, this rare garment remains in absolutely pristine, likely unissued condition—one of the finest surviving examples of its type.
Marked centrally with the size numeral ‘2’ and unusually detailed Luftwaffe issue markings, including a full RB number sequence and a rare ‘LBA 43’ depot stamp (Luftwaffe Bekleidungsamt), as well as the size designation ‘GRII’. The anorak retains all its original features, including the full complement of factory-sewn buttons, a mint-condition white drawstring hood, and an internal adjustable waist belt discreetly concealed within the lining.
Constructed as a non-reversible garment, it features a grey satin lining throughout. This type of camouflage outerwear was specifically designed for Luftwaffe ground troops operating in harsh winter conditions. Complete with original hood and untouched stitching, this is a museum-grade artifact and an outstanding example of Luftwaffe winter combat attire.
