The blade still in its original form which has not been abused even though it has been slightly sharpened, maker marked Alcoso, with some cleaned corrosion on one side with its standard ribbed wood grip, fitted into its very nice blued scabbard, the face side of the scabbard retaining all of its original bluing, the reverse side has lost the majority of its bluing with some minor surface corrosion, the machete is fitted with an unusual canvas frog instead of the normal webbing frog in Luftwaffe blue grey colour.
