GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE SIGNALS MANS OR NCO VISOR CAP

A good saddle-shaped visor cap constructed in the material of the Luftwaffe enlisted ranks. Extremely large size. Unmarked but possibly size 62. The copper brown waffenfarbe is slightly faded around the front crown area, no moth damage anywhere on the cap, and eis in excellent shape. Standard mohair centre band. Matched set of metal national eagle and cockade. Standard strap. The right-hand side of the leather chinstrap is being held to the cap purely by the pressure of the side button. The aperture that allows the button to pass through has split. The peak fitted is the normally encountered double ribbed type for the Luftwaffe. The interior sweatband is the ersatz type and has two tears. The russet brown waterproof upper crown material is present. The central celluloid lozenge is missing, with a very faint outline of the original retailer’s name in gold to the centre of the crown.
