German WWII Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge

A very good mid-war quality example of the Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge, rarely found in this condition. Most examples of this type have lost their finish and appear dull and oxidised—this example, however, retains nearly all of its original silver finish to the oak and laurel wreath.

The eagle, rendered in classic Luftwaffe style clutching a swastika, has a uniform light grey patinated finish with crisp detailing. Reverse features two domed rivets, which have lost their original silvering, and the badge remains complete with its original pin, hook, and hinge. Unmarked, as is typical of many mid-war pieces.

A strong and well-preserved badge with excellent character.
