German WWII Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge, Cased

A fine example of the Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge by Assmann, produced in lightweight zinc with the characteristic flat rivets. The gilt finish shows minor rubbing on the high points of the eagle, while the lower field retains strong original gilding. A textbook Assmann badge from the later war period.

Presented in its original titled case marked Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen, with clear lettering to the lid and some light staining to the exterior. The interior remains in very good condition, making this a desirable and complete set.
