A beautiful and fine-quality example by the renowned maker August Müller of München, Dachaustraße 123. This high saddle-shaped visor cap is constructed from the very finest officer-grade Luftwaffe blue-grey Melton cloth. There are no moth holes, with just two minor areas of light moth tracking to the crown—otherwise, it remains in exceptional condition.

The cap features standard officer’s silver waffenfarbe piping along the crown and both edges of the mohair centre band. A matching set of bullion-woven Luftwaffe eagle and national cockade are fitted. Styled in the popular "crusher" configuration, it includes officers’ cap cords, side buttons, and the softer construction that collectors highly prize.

The imitation light tan sweatband remains intact and shows the original owner’s initials ‘FS’ in individual applied letters. The interior is lined in gold, with a clear and beautifully gold-blocked ‘August Müller München’ maker mark beneath the undamaged celluloid diamond.

A wartime-period newspaper is tucked behind the forehead area, likely used to create a snugger fit. The inner forehead foam cushion has hardened over time, with most of it now disintegrated—a common ageing trait. An excellent Luftwaffe officer’s visor with strong display presence.
