German WWII Luftwaffe Officers Overseas Cap

A fine example of a Luftwaffe officers overseas cap, approximately size 57–58, constructed in the standard blue-grey wool. The cap features silver piping running the full length of the crown and scallop, with beautifully hand-embroidered wire-woven Luftwaffe eagle and cockade. The interior lining shows considerable wear and fraying, as visible in our web images. Luftwaffe officers’ overseas caps with wire insignia are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
