GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS OVERSEAS CAP

A good, large size, probably a 59 officers overseas cap constructed from enlisted ranks material. Good nap with minor moth tracking to the front side curtain on the left-hand side, no actual moth holes. Complete with its officers' silver twisted cord edging the side curtains. The rarely encountered officers' wire-woven eagle and matching national cockade. Some minor losses of threads to the black part of the national cockade. Standard enlisted ranks style blue grey lining material with faint traces of manufacturer’s stamping. The opening envelope at the top of the cap has been sewn together as was the fashion at the time; we have encountered this many times on all types of Third Reich overseas caps. Some obvious wear on the interior, but still good, clean and very displayable.
