German WWII Luftwaffe Officers Overseas Cap

A large size example, likely size 59, crafted in the standard enlisted ranks material. The nap remains good, with only minor moth tracking to the left front side curtain, no actual holes present. Features the rare officers wire-woven eagle and matching national cockade, with slight thread losses to the black portion of the cockade. Officers silver twisted cord edging remains intact along the side curtains. The interior retains its standard blue-grey enlisted-style lining, with faint traces of the manufacturer’s stamp. The top envelope has been sewn closed, a common period practice on Third Reich overseas caps. Despite some wear from use, the cap remains clean, displayable, and in excellent overall condition.
