A superb example of a high-quality Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap, produced by the renowned maker August Müller of München, Dachaustraße 123. Crafted in fine Luftwaffe blue-grey Melton cloth, this cap retains its high saddle shape and classic crusher profile—one of the most sought-after Luftwaffe officer styles among collectors.

The cap remains in beautiful condition with no moth holes and only two very minor areas of moth tracking to the crown. It features standard officer’s silver waffenfarbe around the full circumference of the crown and both edges of the mohair centre band. A matching set of bullion-woven Luftwaffe eagle and national cockade are affixed to the front.

Fitted with its officer's chin cords and twin side buttons. The imitation light tan sweatband is complete and bears the original owner's initials, “F.S.,” applied in individual letters. The interior is fully lined in gold fabric and features a crisp gold-blocked maker’s logo beneath a clear, undamaged celluloid lozenge.

A folded wartime newspaper remains tucked behind the forehead area—presumably added by the wearer for a snug fit. The light tan foam cushion behind the forehead section has solidified with age, and most of it has broken away.

A top-tier Luftwaffe officer’s cap with excellent provenance and form.
