A superb and high-quality example of a Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap, featuring the desirable high saddle shape and stamped size “58.” Constructed from lightly grained Luftwaffe officer’s cloth, the cap is free from any moth damage and remains in excellent overall condition.

Silver waffenfarbe trim accents the crown and both edges of the dark blue mohair center band. The cap is fitted with a matching set of wire-woven Luftwaffe eagle and national cockade, along with original officer’s cap cords. The visor shows a double-ribbed edge with a minor area of congealing to the left side and a slight crease along the ribbing—both signs of genuine period use.

The interior is lined in light grey rayon with a completely intact celluloid lozenge. Beneath it, the cap bears the printed maker details: Verkaufs Abteilung der Luftwaffe, Berlin SW68, Erst Klassig. A paper label confirms the size as “58.” The sweatband is made of light grey leather, lightly worn, and stamped with the oval maker’s mark of Clemens Wagner, Braunschweig. The original cork forehead cushion remains in place behind the sweatband. An outstanding example of a Luftwaffe officer’s visor, difficult to upgrade in both condition and presentation.
