German WWII Luftwaffe Observer’s Badge

An excellent example of the Luftwaffe Observer’s Badge, manufactured by C.E. Juncker, Berlin. The oak and laurel leaf wreath retains its full silvered finish, while the dark patinated eagle remains completely intact, displaying superb depth and detail to the obverse. The reverse of the eagle is clearly marked C.E. Juncker, Berlin W, and features two fine domed rivets securing it to the wreath.

Complete with its original pin, hook, and hinge, this is a service-worn example, as evidenced by the slight bend in the pin—intentionally shaped by the wearer for a closer fit to the uniform. A high-quality and desirable wartime badge from a well-regarded maker.
