German WWII Luftwaffe Observer Badge by Assmann

A high-quality, heavy nickel Luftwaffe Observer Badge produced by the firm Assmann. The badge features exceptional detailing to the laurel and oakleaf wreath, with finely executed feathering to the classic Assmann-style eagle.

The reverse retains its original thin pin, hook, and hinge assembly, all securely in place, along with the original domed rivets. Clearly marked with the Assmann maker’s mark in raised relief on the reverse. A well-preserved and desirable example of this award.
