A very fine example of a Luftwaffe medical section enlisted ranks or NCO’s visor cap, non-size stamped but estimated at size 55. Constructed in Luftwaffe blue-grey enlisted issue cloth, showing only minor wear with one small moth nip to the crown and another to the lower edge. Features include blue piping to the crown and both edges of the mohair centre band, along with a matched set of the early droop-tailed eagle and standard cockade.
Fitted with a double buckle chinstrap and a front visor of the double-edged variety commonly seen on Luftwaffe caps. The interior retains its light tan ersatz sweatband, with green satin lining to the crown and sides. The full celluloid centre lozenge remains intact and unbroken, clearly bearing the Pekuro maker’s logo. This is a rare and well-preserved cap from a seldom-seen Luftwaffe service branch.
