GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE M42 SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

A very nice condition raw edge model 42 combat helmet retaining virtually all of its original Luftwaffe blue paint finish with some slight surface rust areas. The Luftwaffe decal is complete with the exception of one abrasion across the left-hand wing; also lost is the tip of the eagle’s head. To the interior, it is marked ‘HKO 64’ batch number ‘5000’. The helmet retains its original liner, which has excellent colour with its original drawstring; all tongues to the leather are complete. The chinstrap is complete; it has solidified in places but is not in danger of breaking. The liner is ink-stamped ‘57’.
