German WWII Luftwaffe M40 Helmet

A well-preserved Luftwaffe M40 combat helmet showing authentic age and service character. The interior skirt exhibits corrosion that has obscured the manufacturer’s and batch number stampings, though traces remain faintly visible. The exterior retains much of its original paint with light rust bleed, giving it a pleasing untouched appearance. The Luftwaffe decal is remarkably well-preserved, remaining clear and intact. Inside, the zinc-banded liner is complete with clean, supple leather showing only light service wear — a solid and honest example of a wartime-issued Luftwaffe helmet.
