GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE M.40 SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

Extremely good 1940 pattern Luftwaffe blue-grey rough-cast paint to the exterior, with a totally undamaged Luftwaffe decal. To the interior, the liner retains much of the original colour; the liner is stamped size ‘57’, the helmet shell is stamped ‘Q64’. The original drawstring remains. There is some slight roughness to the leather at the join with the inner band in the forehead area. The chinstrap is also complete and is maker-marked and dated ‘1942’. A very fine example. The collector’s original very descriptive label is still attached to the helmet.
