GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE M.35 DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

A very good example, service worn, shell size SE66. The helmet outer bowl retaining all of its original Luftwaffe early blue colour with a few minor abrasions in the forward crown area. The Luftwaffe decal is absolutely complete and clear. The national tricolour has some abrasions, as can be seen by our web images. The three liner retaining rivet heads have all their original paint intact. To the interior standard aluminium liner band with square edged strap bales, these are normally dated on the inside. We do not intend to force the aluminium band away from the helmet shell to try and see the date. The chinstrap is complete and strong. The inner liner has all its tongues soft and supple with its original drawstring. The liner is ink-stamp marked with only the ‘5’ visible; the next number has been rubbed away. Batch number stamped into the rear skirt of the helmet ‘047’.
