A very clean and well-preserved example of the double bladder “Schwimvest” life vest, used by Luftwaffe aircrew, typically in single-seater aircraft. The rubberised bladders are undamaged, showing only minor storage age staining. Complete with its original oxygen bottle, Bakelite bottle cap, manual inflator tube, and all correct webbing attachment straps. Technical specifications are stamped to the inner rear section. An ideal piece for completing a Luftwaffe fighter pilot display or mannequin.
