GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE HERMANN MEYER CAP - EARLY PATTERN

A very nice example of the 1st pattern Luftwaffe tropical cap with its machine-embroidered grey-on-tropical-brown eagle with the single small roundel, the cord fitted to the cap is the standard subdued tropical cord common only to the 1st pattern Hermann Meyer caps.  Size 60. The maker's mark to the interior has been blurred but identified as August Schellenberg of Berlin. Clearly dated ‘42’. Complete with its original tropical neck flap.
