German WWII Luftwaffe General’s White Top Visor Cap – Double Erel Marked

A fine example of a Luftwaffe General’s white top visor cap, upper size 57–58, with removable white top made by Erel. The white cover shows light foxing from storage but remains in very good condition. The removable top is loosely secured with ten tacking threads, holding a high-quality bullion gold eagle on a white background.

The cap features a black mohair centre band, flanked by bullion gold waffenfarbe, and a well-detailed gold bullion cockade with the signature Erel vented centre. Gold chin cords are present, with the classic Luftwaffe double-edged peak below.

Inside, the cap is gold satin lined with a complete celluloid lozenge, under which the silver-blocked Erel Sonderklasse mark is clearly visible. Some light age staining is present between the satin and celluloid. The sweatband is grey leather with a gold Erel stamp, and the internal Erel vented hole is intact.
