One of the most desirable styles of tunics of the Luftwaffe is the officers' version of the Fliegerbluse; the enlisted ranks had a similar tunic, which is readily available; the officers' versions are far harder to obtain. This example in a medium size, having shoulder boards fitted for a flying leutnant with matching yellow-backed collar patches with silver cording, the collar having the standard silver cording for officers. A very nice quality officer's heavily hand-embroidered breast eagle is fitted. To the left breast as the tunic is worn, are loops for two awards. This is an official Luftwaffe-issued tunic having the very nice light grey-on-dark-grey label fitted to the upper inner lining: ‘VERKAUFSABTEILEITUNG DER LUFTWAFFE, BERLIN SW28’. Standard blue-grey Luftwaffe lining material, complete with a long attached nickel loop for the suspension of a Luftwaffe officer's dagger or sword. No moth damage anywhere on the tunic.
