A fine example of a high saddle-shaped Luftwaffe visor cap, tailored in enlisted man’s material with only light moth tracking to the upper nap of the cloth. The cap displays a vivid golden yellow waffenfarbe set against the Luftwaffe blue-grey body, paired with a standard mohair center band.

It retains a matched set of bright wartime Luftwaffe eagle and cockade, along with a standard double buckle chinstrap. The peak is of the double-edged variety. Inside, the ersatz sweatband is intact but shows some cracking and minor rot in areas. Notably, this cap was produced by the only known manufacturer besides Erel to use the vented “Frischluft” cockade system, allowing for fresh air circulation.

The gold rayon lining is complete, with one minor moth nip and a light stain. The celluloid lozenge remains fully intact, with the maker’s mark and logo clearly visible beneath. The cap also features its original owner’s name tag, inserted in the designated identification slot. Minor moth nips are present on sections of the yellow waffenfarbe. A scarce and distinctive Luftwaffe visor cap.
