A well-preserved medium-size example of a Luftwaffe flieger bluse worn by a Gefreiter. Constructed in standard Luftwaffe blue-grey, the tunic shows minor nicks and very light moth damage, with thin nap overall. The upper inner collar area of the rayon skeleton lining exhibits some slight shredding.
Fitted with yellow wool-piped shoulder boards and matching yellow-backed collar patches, with a single gull attached. The original Luftwaffe grey-on-blue eagle is intact, with its original cross-hatched stitching. Two lower pockets with flaps remain, and the lower cuffs have been converted from adjustable to fixed, a period modification for a closer fit.
Wear is evident on the elbows, with a small patch on the right-hand inner seam and a larger patch on the opposite sleeve, reflecting heavy use. The upper right-hand interior rayon pocket shows faint traces of an RB number, and the lining displays signs of considerable wear. The bandage pocket remains intact. A genuine combat-worn tunic, ideal for display or mannequin presentation.
