German WWII Luftwaffe Flak NCO White Top Cap

A very fine example of a Luftwaffe Flak NCO or enlisted man’s white top cap, possibly unworn. The grained white top shows minor age foxing and light discoloration but is free from damage or staining. Fitted with an early droop-tailed short-winged eagle and national cockade, the cap features the standard mohair centre band, red-piped for Flak artillery to the upper and lower sections.

The peak has the typical double-ribbed front edge, with one very minor nick, and is complemented by the standard double-buckled Luftwaffe chinstrap. The interior is unlined, with a light tan sweatband showing no signs of wear, and retains the original white tissue paper packing behind the saddle-shaped crown.
