A small-sized helmet, the size of the shell is ‘ET66’. The exterior camouflage in a Normandy finish of tan and brown. The Luftwaffe decal is half complete. The lower half, including the swastika, has broken away through rusting on the paint in that area, which has developed from the steel foliage wire, which surrounds the helmet and is clipped on in four places. The coverage is good. The interior liner is all complete, but it is delicate; there is some breakage to the leather on the lower edges. The size markings of the shell size ‘55’ Stalhelm size 66. The chinstrap system is complete with its sliders and its male pop studs; only the two male studs remain. The roller buckle is all intact. The ink stamp maker's mark of the Company of ‘Carl Heisler, Berlin’ is just about visible. The female stud for the male/female pop stud system is missing at the end of the T section of the strap.
