A super used four-pocket Luftwaffe tunic in the blue ribbed material, this material is of a weight that it is definitely a tropical tunic and not a work tunic. Last sold by us to our consigner in the 1990’s. Standard configuration of four pockets with flaps, six-button closure. A set of slip-on yellow wool piped shoulder boards for a Luftwaffe Oberfeldwebel with matching machine-stitched yellow-based collar patches. One single row of NCO lace of the Luftwaffe type to the collar. A standard machine embroidered Luftwaffe breast eagle originally applied. To the lower sections of both arms are a twin row of correct Luftwaffe Der Speiss lace. The buttons have lost the majority of their blue paint colour. Evidence of good wear use but no tears, patches, moth damage or other repairs. Very faint traces of the manufacturer’s marking and size stamping can just about be seen at the centre of the inside part of the jacket, close to the armpit. A rare tunic.
