A fine example of a well-used Luftwaffe four-pocket tunic in blue ribbed tropical-weight material—distinct from the lighter workwear type. Originally sold by us to the current consigner in the 1990s. Constructed with four pleated pockets and a six-button front closure. Fitted with a matching set of slip-on yellow wool–piped shoulder boards for an Oberfeldwebel, and machine-stitched yellow-based collar patches. A single row of Luftwaffe-style NCO lace adorns the collar, while both lower sleeves display twin rows of correct Luftwaffe Der Spiess lace. The machine-embroidered breast eagle is period-applied. Buttons have lost much of their blue paint, and the tunic shows honest service wear but remains free of tears, patches, or moth damage. Faint manufacturer and size markings can be seen near the inner armpit area. A rare and highly desirable Luftwaffe tropical tunic.
