German WWII Luftwaffe Air Gunner Only Badge Cased

A scarce and sought-after Luftwaffe Air Gunner Only badge presented in its original titled case, a difficult item to find intact. This mid to late war example was manufactured by W. Deumer of Lüdenscheid. The oak and laurel leaf wreath has lost the majority of its silvered finish, with only faint traces remaining in the lower areas. On the reverse, the silver finish is still well preserved at the base of the hinge and the hook.

The badge rests in its completely original case; lifting it reveals the original blue colour of the base, though much of the colour has faded due to light exposure—likely from the original owner’s home. The upper inner lid retains its intact purple-blue lining. The exterior lid bears a faint silver inscription, Luftwaffen Fliegerschützen Abzeichen.

An exceptional and rare combination of badge and case, highly desirable for collectors.
