German WWII Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officers Display Piece by SMF

An excellent example of a Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern officers display piece by SMF. The main body features a well-preserved finish with matching grey tone to the upper pommel, cross guard, and scabbard rings. The scabbard’s body, made from a different material, retains a more steel-like finish. The deep orange grip shows two small chips but retains all grip wire intact. It includes a short pattern portapee knot and the late pattern unlined brocade straps, which show slight fraying. The blade is in good condition with clear SMF and Luftwaffe acceptance stamps, showing no abuse but with a slightly dulled finish.

A fine display piece ideal for collectors of WWII Luftwaffe artifacts.
