An ultra-rare matched set of red silk piped black centred shoulder boards for a Waffen SS Unterscharfuhrer in the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. The NCO lace has slight oxidation on one of the boards. The LAH motifs, which were normally supplied as slip-ons, have been cut by the wearer and stitched to the centre of the shoulder board. There are minor differences between each LAH logo, indicating that these must have been chosen from separate bundles. The boards having slip-on tabs have been cut on the reverse side with a short knife or scissors, where they have been cut from a tunic. The original securing button is still in place, sewn to a small section of the original uniform cloth, which the board is still attached to.
